Part time Class 1 Drivers Required

Last Mile Logistic Solutions are currently seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver for multi drop day work and also 4 on 4 off Night trunking.

We are looking for experienced drivers with a good attitude, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic along with excellent attention to detail. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

 Â· Complete vehicle daily defect sheet.  

 Â· Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.  

 Â· Ensure with Operations Manager and Loader that the load is correct against the customers' orders.  

 Â· Check goods off with Customers, obtain signature and complete relevant paperwork.  

 Â· Provide excellent customer service.  

 Â· Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and contact Operations Manager for assistance if required.  

 Â· Carry out deliveries in a timely and safe manner.  

 Â· Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.  

 Â· Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits. 

 Â· Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab and look after the vehicle ensuring that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.  

 Â· Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure ensuring they are kept to a minimum.  

 Â· Ensure all relevant paperwork is handed in to the Operations Manager at the earliest opportunity.  

 Â· Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy. 

Education and Experience: 

At least 2 years previous experience in Class 1 driving is essential and drivers must hold no more than 6 penalty points on driving license and have a valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
