The move comes three years after the opening of our HGV Operations in Riverside Park, Middlesbrough and two years after the opening of our Opus Park warehousing facility in Preston Farm, Stockton-on-Tees.
Last Mile have been providing transport and distribution services to clients across the UK for over 20 years but with the demand for warehousing and distribution services ever increasing, we've been encouraged to review our operations, and we have now relocated our busy HGV Operations out of Riverside Park to our new Haverton Hill site.
The aim for the move is to further streamline our operations, with the new Haverton Hill site serving as a Head Office for the whole of the business and a transport depot for our HGV fleet.
Chris Hardy, Managing Director said:
We are delighted to be opening our new depot in Haverton Hill and this is a really exciting opportunity for Last Mile.
Our Opus Park warehouse was opened in 2020 and designed specifically to our own requirements, and we've been working hard to make sure this new site is well-suited to our specifications as well.
The site will add further capacity to our operation to cope with the growing demand and will also help to enhance customer service levels.
We're pleased to say that the move has gone smoothly, and we're excited to see it all up and running with the investment in our 2 x depots being a major focus this year, as we continue to drive the business forward.
The new site is situated just off the A19 near Middlesbrough and is set to create local employment at the depot and the Tees Valley area.
