International Week of Happiness at Work is held in the last week of September each year and this year is the first time Last Mile has come together to celebrate this.
The time spent at work can greatly impact our overall well-being and this initiative highlights the importance of being happy in the workplace as when we are happy, we are healthier, more cheerful, more social, and therefore more successful.
Throughout the week, Last Mile focused on creating a fun and positive atmosphere by engaging in various activities. One of these activities involved employees writing complimentary and fun comments about their colleagues, which were then shared with the team each day. This also allowed other employees to add their thoughts and comments too. This initiative was a great way to make team members feel valued and appreciated.
The week was filled with an enjoyable, happy, and supportive atmosphere, and Last Mile was super happy with how engaged and successful it turned out to be!
Whilst reflecting on the week, it was a perfect opportunity for Last Mile to evaluate their workplace culture and think about how they can continue to contribute to their employees' happiness and well-being all year round.
