Last Mile are pleased to announce that they are now supporting the Russ Devereux - Headlight Project, a charity set up in 2019 in memory of Russ Devereux who died by suicide.
The Headlight Project is dedicated to raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of the triggers that lead to suicide.
Along with this the charity aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide within the Teesside area by providing therapeutic support to families who have suffered a traumatic bereavement.
Last Mile have been keen to support a couple of local charities and is thrilled to become a 5th Wheel Corporate Supporter for the Headlight Project.
They found choosing this charity an easy decision due to the heartbreaking story behind its formation.
In addition to this, in a male-orientated transport industry, where the risk of suicide is high, supporting such an important charity aligns with their commitment to the well-being of their employees and mental health.
The Headlight Project has numerous planned fundraising events throughout the year including walks, runs, marathons, and even sky-diving!!
Last Mile is keen to participate in some of these activities and will be encouraging their employees to get involved which will be great for staff morale and engagement while raising valuable funds and supporting a great cause.
