Last Mile are proud to have received the first of their new branded MAN TGX XL tractor units as part of its commitment to continuously improve their fleet and driver working conditions.
Last Mile have been running a fleet of Artic vehicles since 2019 serving customers in the retail and general haulage sector and their first branded truck has been delivered into service today.
In response to driver feedback, Last Mile have introduced the first of 5 MAN TGX XL tractor units to their fleet, which are better suited to long distance and overnight journeys.
Driver wellbeing is of the upmost importance to Last Mile and these new cabs ensure that drivers on long distance and overnight journeys are comfortable and well rested, safeguarding their drivers and other road users.
The new trucks feature a number of safety and comfort upgrades such as adaptive cruise control, a large fridge, a comfortable bed and an upgraded seat. Along with full rear cat walk, anderson connections, air horns, windscreen visor, chrome airline holder and powder coated wheels.
Richard Hill, Fleet Maintenance Manager said:
We are delighted to see the first of the new trucks arrive at Last Mile and on the roads. These new cabs are the result of open dialogue with our drivers to better understand their needs and create a more comfortable working environment.
For someone who can spend up to five nights on the road, the increased space, improved build quality and additional features will make days on the roads and nights parked up so much more comfortable leaving our drivers to focus on their jobs.
The trucks have a full R & M service agreement on 5 week inspection intervals making sure they are roadworthy and in tip top condition.
Building awareness of the company is also extremely important to Last Mile and customers will now be able to distinguish them by their logo and colours. This is great for the business and will show a professional image, 'driving' more customers towards the business too.
The fresh paint and graphics really make the vehicles stand out and Last Mile are extremely excited for them to hit the roads.
