Monday 13th May marks the launch of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, the UK's national week to raise awareness of mental health and Last Mile Logistic Solutions will be celebrating this.
This year the theme is 'Movement: Moving more for our mental health'
Being active is important for our mental health but so many of us struggle to get enough exercise. This sometimes can get out of control and become a mental health problem which affects millions of people across the UK.
Throughout the week Last Mile will be promoting more ways of moving more, ie.....Going for a walk, putting on some music and having a dance or doing chair exercises whilst watching tv - all counts
They will be considering the positive impact it has on our mental health and will be reminding their employees of the various help thats out there and of the different ways they can reach out for support.
Always committed to the health, safety and well-being of their staff throughout the rest of the year too, Last Mile have a health and well-being programme in place:
The programme is designed to give an opportunity for their employees to identify their own focus areas relevant to their own unique needs around the following areas: Mind, Body, Career, Money, Surroundings and Relationships.
Last Mile want their employees to thrive in the workplace so their mission is always to create a safe and supportive environment. The programme will always be available, and they will continue to provide resources and support encouraging self-care and wellness.
