Monday 15th May marked the launch of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, the UK's national week to raise awareness of mental health and Last Mile Logistic Solutions have been celebrating this.
This year the theme was anxiety which is a normal emotion to have and is something that we can all experience from time to time. However sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem which affects millions of people across the UK.
Throughout the week Last Mile took a moment to learn how to recognise the signs of anxiety in ourselves and each other and how it impacts our mental health.
They also reminded their employees of the various help that's out there and different ways that they can reach out for support.
Always committed to the health, safety and well-being of their staff throughout the rest of the year too, Last Mile have a health and well-being programme in place:
The programme is designed to give an opportunity for their employees to identify their own focus areas relevant to their own unique needs around the following areas: Mind, Body, Career, Money, Surroundings and Relationships.
Last Mile want their employees to thrive in the workplace so their mission is always to create a safe and supportive environment. The programme will always be available and they will continue to provide resources and support encouraging self-care and wellness.
