Monday 9 May 2022 marked the launch of Mental Health Awareness Week, the UK's national week to raise awareness of mental health and Last Mile Logistic Solutions have been celebrating this.
This year the theme is loneliness which affects millions of people across the UK and we are hoping that the theme will strike a chord with many of us who felt lonely and struggled throughout the Covid pandemic.
Across the country, this week people have been reflecting on loneliness and how it impacts our mental health. Long-term loneliness is closely linked to mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.
During this Mental Health Awareness Week we have been using the hashtag #IveBeenThere to share experiences of loneliness and to support others and give the campaign momentum.
We also focussed on raising awareness of the impact of loneliness and the importance of keeping on top of our wellbeing by providing advice and best practice tips whether we are in the office, on the go or at home.
Last Mile are always committed to the health, safety and well-being of our staff throughout the rest of the year too and have a Health and Well-being programme in place:
The programme is designed to support Health + Well-being by providing personalised and confidential support on the go in and around lots of areas including mental and emotional wellbeing.
